Instructions:
- Park on a level surface and lower the convertible top slightly as needed to access the seal; follow vehicle service manual precautions.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip by prying out retaining clips or pulling the seal free from its channel; save any reusable clips if present.
- Clean the mounting channel and surrounding area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the full length of the channel to verify orientation and fit; trim excess if necessary using scissors or a utility knife.
- If the replacement requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per adhesive instructions; avoid excess.
- Press the new weatherstrip into the channel, starting at one end and working to the other, ensuring the profile seats fully into the factory groove; use masking tape to hold in place if needed.
- Reinstall any retaining clips or fasteners removed earlier; check for uniform compression and complete contact along the mating surfaces.
- Allow adhesive to cure as directed (if used), then inspect for leaks and perform a road/noise check. Re-torque or re-check adjacent trim per the vehicle service manual.
