'77 Vette beaut goes on the market

Parting is truly such sweet sorrow for Corvette owners.

On June 18, Graham Borley posted the following message on the Facebook page for his group Graham's Corvette World: "Possibly the nicest '77 Corvette on the planet is up for sale. This car is a multiple show winner including winning its class in all of Western Canada for five years!"

Borley, who lives in Red Deer, Alberta, included photos of the gorgeous blue convertible with split roof in a showroom-style garage as well as in front of the Corvette Assembly Plant in St. Louis, Missouri. He also posted photos of the ultra-clean engine and undercarriage of the car.

Predictably, the post got attention from Vette-envious enthusiasts. One called it "stunning" and added whoever buys it will only need "to fill it with gas and go..."

Another commentator called it, "By far the cleanest car of any year I've ever seen! Whoever buys it is in for a treat."

For his part, Borley only said, "It will be very difficult to let it go, I have had that car for 27 years. I have rebuilt every part of that car."

He was asking $55,000 Cdn.
