A direct-fit latex A-pillar and header seal engineered for 1984–1996 Chevrolet Corvette (C4) models. This flexible latex seal restores the roof-to-body weather barrier by preventing water intrusion, dust entry, and wind noise while protecting interior trim and upholstery. Designed for reliable, long-lasting compression and an OEM-style fit, it’s ideal for restoration projects and routine maintenance where durable, easy-to-install sealing is required.
Features:
- Fits 1984–1996 Chevrolet Corvette (C4) — A-pillar and header application
- Durable latex construction maintains flexibility and compression for effective sealing
- Seals A-pillar and header gaps to prevent water leaks, dust ingress, and wind noise
- OEM-style profile for accurate fit and proper alignment with factory trim
- Easy to install with common hand tools; ideal for restoration or replacement jobs
- Helps protect interior trim and paint from moisture damage and vibration wear
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and remove any trim panels that obstruct the old seal, using a trim tool or screwdriver as needed.
- Carefully peel away the old seal and remove residual adhesive with a plastic scraper and adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol. Ensure the mounting channel is clean and dry.
- Test-fit the new latex seal along the A-pillar and header to confirm orientation and necessary length. Trim excess with scissors or a utility knife if required.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting channel or to the seal’s contact lip per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the new seal firmly into the channel, working along the length to avoid gaps. Use firm, continuous pressure to seat the seal into place.
- Secure the seal with masking tape at intervals to hold position while the adhesive cures (refer to adhesive cure time).
- Reinstall any removed trim pieces, remove masking tape after adhesive sets, and check for full contact and a uniform seal. Test by spraying water or checking for wind noise at road speed.
