- Fitment: 1984-1989 Chevrolet Corvette (C4) — left and right, 4-piece kit (WFK 1210 84).
- High-quality, corrosion-resistant material with a durable finish for long service life.
- Restores original beltline profile and protects paint from chips and weathering.
- Secures trim, helps prevent wind noise and reduces water intrusion along the door window.
- Precision-engineered for accurate alignment and a factory-like appearance.
- Easy to install as a direct replacement — ideal for restorations and maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and fully lower the window to access the beltline channel.
- Carefully remove the old molding: use a plastic trim removal tool to pry out clips or gently lift the molding. If clips are present, retain any reusable clips or replace as needed.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or a degreaser to remove dirt, wax, and old adhesive. Allow the area to dry completely.
- Test-fit each replacement piece to verify orientation and fit. Use masking tape to mark alignment reference points on the door and window frame.
- If clips or fasteners are required, install them onto the new molding per the original configuration.
- Align the molding with the channel and press it into place, working from one end to the other. Ensure clips engage and the profile seats flush against the body.
- Trim any excess material if necessary and wipe the installed molding with a clean cloth to remove fingerprints or residue.
- Raise and lower the window slowly to confirm there is no interference and that the molding clears the glass throughout its travel.
- Re-tighten any screws or fasteners removed during disassembly and inspect the sealed edge. Apply a small bead of weatherstrip adhesive or sealant if indicated by the vehicle’s original installation.
- Final inspection: confirm even gaps, secure fit, and smooth appearance. Test drive to check for wind noise or vibration.
