Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: park on a level surface, lower windows slightly (if applicable), and protect surrounding areas with masking tape.
- Remove old molding: carefully pry out fasteners or clips and slide out the existing molding. Use a trim tool to avoid damaging the paint.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly, removing adhesive residue and contaminants with rubbing alcohol or an appropriate solvent; allow to dry.
- Test-fit each molding piece to confirm correct orientation and fit before applying adhesive or installing clips.
- If clips or fasteners are supplied, seat them into the door/channel holes and align the molding; if adhesive is required, apply adhesive promoter and/or double-sided tape to the molding per instructions.
- Align the molding at one end, press firmly along the full length to seat into clips or bond with adhesive. Use a rubber mallet or soft block to apply uniform pressure if needed.
- Secure with masking tape or clamps while adhesive cures (follow adhesive manufacturer cure time). Reinstall any removed trim or window components.
- Inspect the installed molding for even fit, clean off any excess adhesive, and allow the full cure time before exposing the vehicle to moisture or high-speed driving.
