Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the car on a level surface, turn off ignition and remove key. For safety, disconnect the negative battery terminal if you will be working near wiring.
- Consult the factory service manual or a bulb location chart to identify each bulb position and required bulb type.
- Access the lamp housing: remove trim rings, lens covers or dash panels using the appropriate screwdriver(s) to expose the bulb socket.
- Carefully grasp the bulb and pull straight out of the socket (use needle-nose pliers if access is tight). Take care not to twist excessive force on wiring.
- Compare the old bulb to the replacement from the kit to confirm correct type and orientation. Handle new bulbs with gloves or a clean cloth to avoid oils on the glass.
- Insert the new bulb into the socket until it is fully seated. Replace any retaining rings, lenses or trim panels removed earlier.
- Reconnect the battery if disconnected, then turn on the lights and test each replaced bulb (headlights, dash, turn signals, brake lights, etc.).
- If a bulb does not light, recheck seating, socket corrosion, and fuse/wiring. Use a multimeter or test light to verify power if needed.
- Repeat for all bulbs being replaced, then reinstall any interior trim and secure all fasteners.
