Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, set parking brake and disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.
- Raise vehicle and support safely with jack stands or use a lift to access the underside of the intake manifold under pan.
- Clean the work area and inspect the under pan and manifold to identify damaged or missing rivet locations.
- Use an appropriately sized drill bit to carefully drill out the heads of the old rivets; take care to avoid enlarging the rivet hole in the mating surfaces.
- Remove rivet remnants with a punch or drift and clean holes and mating surfaces of debris and old sealant.
- Test-fit the under pan and intake manifold to ensure proper alignment of the holes.
- Place a replacement rivet into each hole and set them using a rivet gun per the rivet manufacturer’s recommendations until snug and properly flared.
- Wipe away any debris, reinstall any components removed for access, lower the vehicle, reconnect the battery, and inspect for proper sealing and secure fitment.
