Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake and block rear wheels.
- Raise the front of the vehicle with a floor jack and support securely on jack stands.
- Remove the front wheel on the side to be serviced to access the shock lower mount.
- If necessary, apply penetrating oil to the shock lower bolt and any mounting fasteners; allow time to soak.
- Support the shock absorber (or control arm, depending on design) to prevent sudden movement when the lower fastener is removed.
- Remove the lower shock mounting bolt(s) and any retaining hardware; carefully remove the old bracket(s).
- Clean the mounting surfaces and inspect for additional damage or corrosion; remove debris with a wire brush or cleaner.
- Position the new bracket(s) on the original mounting points, aligning holes with factory locations.
- Install the original or specified hardware and hand-tighten bolts to hold the bracket in place.
- Torque all mounting fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque wheel lug nuts to spec.
- Perform a short road test to verify proper operation and recheck fastener torque after initial drive.
