Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level ground, let engine cool, and disconnect battery if desired for safety.
  2. Locate the carburetor preheat hose and the existing clamp; inspect hose condition and replace hose if cracked or degraded.
  3. Slide the new clamp over the hose before routing if required; position the clamp over the hose barb or fitting near the carburetor.
  4. Using a flathead screwdriver or 5/16" socket, tighten the clamp until snug — avoid over-tightening which can damage the hose.
  5. Wipe away any debris or fluids with a shop towel and visually confirm the clamp is seated and the hose is secure.
  6. Start the engine, let it reach operating temperature, and recheck the clamp and hose for proper fit and any signs of leakage or slippage.
