Instructions:
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
- Remove the interior door pull/armrest screws and any trim screws securing the door panel.
- Use a trim removal tool to carefully pry the door panel clips free and lift the panel away from the door. Support the panel to avoid stressing wiring.
- Locate the window/lock switch assembly and remove any retaining screws or clips holding the switch bezel in place.
- Gently pry the switch bezel or assembly out of the door handle pocket to access the electrical connector.
- Depress the connector release tab and unplug the switch wiring harness. Inspect connector pins and clean with electrical contact cleaner if corroded.
- Remove the old switch from the bezel (clips or screws) and install the new switch into the bezel until it snaps or seats securely.
- Reconnect the wiring harness to the new switch and temporarily reconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Test all window and lock functions to confirm correct operation before reassembling the door panel.
- If tests are successful, disconnect the battery again, re-seat the door panel and fasten all screws and clips, then reconnect the battery and perform a final function check.
