Due to the construction & design of this part, it must be bolted to a plate to prevent distortion during U-Joint installation. The friction fit of the cups requires enough force during installation to warp the flange if it is not bolted to a plate during the pressing operation. These parts are lined bored to assure proper alignment. Any installation of a U-Joint without being bolted to a plate will not be accepted as a return.
