Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes
Instructions:
- Prepare vehicle: Park on level ground, engage parking brake, and raise the front with a jack and secure on stands or use ramps for easier access.
- Remove existing spoiler/valance: Carefully remove clips, screws, and fasteners holding the old spoiler. Use a trim tool to avoid damaging the bumper or fascia. Retain any reusable hardware.
- Clean mounting area: Remove dirt, old adhesive, and debris from the lower bumper surface. Wipe with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry.
- Test fit the three-piece spoiler: Position the center and side pieces to check alignment with the bumper and any existing mounting holes. Use masking tape to hold pieces in place while checking gaps.
- Mark and prepare holes: If new holes are required, mark drilling locations through the pre-drilled mounting points on the spoiler. Drill pilot holes carefully, avoiding splash shields and wiring behind the bumper.
- Attach center section: Fasten the center section first using supplied hardware or existing clips. Do not fully tighten until all pieces are aligned.
- Install outer sections: Align and attach the left and right outer pieces, ensuring uniform gaps and continuous contour with the center section.
- Secure and torque fasteners: Once aligned, tighten all fasteners to the manufacturer-recommended torque. If rivets are used, install them with a rivet gun.
- Re-check fitment and finish: Inspect gaps and make any minor adjustments. Clean the spoiler and surrounding bumper area to remove fingerprints and installation debris.
- Lower vehicle and road-test: Lower the vehicle, then perform a short test drive to ensure nothing vibrates or contacts the road. Re-check fasteners after the first 50–100 miles.
