Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and roll window fully down on the side where molding will be replaced (if applicable).
- Carefully pry away the old molding using a plastic trim tool to release clips; remove any screws or retainers. Keep undamaged clips for reuse or replace as needed.
- Clean the mounting channel and surrounding surfaces with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, old adhesive residue, and wax for a secure fit.
- Test-fit the new molding into position to ensure proper alignment with door/window openings and body contours.
- Starting at one end, press the molding into the channel, engaging the retention clips or fasteners. Use a rubber mallet gently if needed to seat the molding without damaging the finish.
- Reinstall any screws or retainers removed earlier and verify that the molding sits flush and continuous along the beltline.
- Operate the window to confirm there is no interference and check for gaps that could allow water intrusion; apply small amounts of weatherstrip adhesive or sealant only if recommended for your vehicle.
- Wipe the molding and surrounding area clean and allow any adhesive or sealant to cure per product instructions before driving.
