On C4 or C5 Corvettes it's very common for the shift indicator light, some call it the gear indicator light, to be burned out. After years of use and thousands of heat cycles the socket becomes brittle and fails. Until now your only option was to go to a wrecking yard and try to talk the operator out of selling one from a complete harness.
