This U-Nut was used on 1965-1967 Corvettes equipped with option code N-14 Side Mounted Exhaust. Unlike the stamped steel u-nut that was used without side exhaust, this part has an integral steel nut that is needed to accept the machine screws that mount the exhaust cover. This part is just like the original nut, down to the "M" logo. Judges closely examine N-14 equipped cars and do look for the correct mounting hardware, with the square nut, and it is visible! This nut was NOT used on any otherGM applications. Only for N-14 cars.
