This is the timing chain used on the Corvette Racing C5R, C6R, and C7R race cars from 1997-present in the ALMS and now the United Sportscar series. This chain can be used in all C5, C6 or C7 Corvettes LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LT1 or LT4.
Replace your factory chain with this upgraded version when doing camshaft installations or other modifications where the chain is easily accessed, especially on higher mileage engines. This is the only chain you'll ever need, and since it fits over production sprockets, it's a direct replacement with no worries of clearance to your oil pump. The Katech C5-R race chain has proprietary features over the standard IWIS aftermarket LS chain, including "fine blanked plates" and a proprietary pin coating.
