The 1961-1967 Schwitzer Style Fan Clutch is a coupling between the water pump and the fan blade that allows the fan to be operational at low speeds and disconnected at higher speeds. With the engine off and cold, the fan should be free to turn. Once the engine is warmed up, the fan should be more difficult to turn. It also should not free-turn after the engine is shut off.
Reach = 1 3/8 inches, pump flange bolt circle = 1 3/4 inches, fan bolt circle = 3.0 inches.
